These clients rely on IndusCo when their buildings need experienced contractors who can handle coatings, repairs, snow operations, and facility improvements without disrupting operations.

A Family Business from the Beginning
From the start, IndusCo has been a family business in one form or another.
Sterling built the company with the support of his family, and today his daughters are active members of the team helping manage operations, marketing, and documentation. Many of them have been around job sites since childhood, including snow operations where they helped with early site work long before officially joining the company.
That family involvement shapes how IndusCo operates. Clients work with a team that is personally invested in the long-term success of the business and the relationships it builds with customers.
Built by Tradesman and Owner Sterling Lowe
IndusCo was founded by Sterling Lowe, who started his career in the trades while still in high school.
During his junior and senior years, Sterling left school early each day to work in the drywall trade, gaining hands-on experience in the field before many people start their careers. After several years in drywall, he joined a commercial painting and coatings company run by his father-in-law and spent the next 15 years learning the industry from the ground up.
While working there, Sterling launched a snow removal division. The first contract was a local hospital, placing him immediately in high-responsibility environments where access, safety, and reliability mattered every hour of the day.
In 2007, Sterling started his own company, continuing to serve commercial properties with painting, coatings, and snow removal services.
That decision created what would become IndusCo Facility Solutions.
Trusted by Commercial Facilities Since Day One
Many of IndusCo’s earliest clients remain customers today.
Early projects included work for hospitals, pharmaceutical spaces, food facilities, and other highly controlled environments where contractors must meet strict safety and cleanliness requirements. These projects included painting in sensitive areas such as NICUs, pharmacy spaces, and active medical facilities where work often needed to happen overnight or during shutdown windows.
This type of work requires careful planning, coordination with facility teams, and contractors who understand how to complete projects without interrupting critical operations.
That experience still defines the company today.
Solutions for Commercial and Industrial Properties
Today, IndusCo provides a range of services that support commercial facilities throughout the region.
These services include:
- Commercial and industrial painting
- Epoxy flooring and specialty coatings
- Building envelope maintenance and sealing
- Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
- Concrete and facility repair work
- Commercial snow and ice management
- Liquid brine de-icing programs
Many of these services overlap within a single project. A facility might need structural repairs before installing coatings or exterior cleaning before sealing a building envelope.
IndusCo’s experience across multiple trades allows the company to address these needs as a coordinated solution instead of requiring multiple contractors.
Ongoing Training and Industry Leadership
One thing that sets IndusCo apart is its commitment to continuing education and industry collaboration.
Sterling and his team regularly participate in training programs, certification courses, and snow industry events throughout the country. The company attends multiple snow and ice management conferences each year to learn new techniques, evaluate equipment, and share insights with other contractors across the industry.
This training includes certifications related to snow removal, de-icing, and environmental best practices. IndusCo is also recognized as a certified contractor through programs associated with the Maryland Department of the Environment.
Sterling also participates in industry education and mentorship opportunities, helping other contractors understand what works in the field and how snow operations differ across regions of the country.
